When preforming a demo, you should do the balance, strength and flexibility tests before you move on to the pain relief portion.
The first test with the wand should be for balance. Have a volunteer stand with their knees and ankles together and to cup one of their hands. Explain that you are going to push down on the cupped hand until that person gets off balance. Make sure that you do this twice so that the volunteer understands what their balance limit is. Now in the other hand, have that person hold the wand with the end pointing into the palm of their hand. Wait for about 15 seconds. Now repeat the test by pushing down on the their cupped hand. They will not be thrown off balance. They will be amazed, always ask your volunteer what they thought and repeat to the crowd.
The second test is for strength. Once again ask the volunteer to stand with their ankles and knees together and have them extend their arm straight out. Now push the arm down, until the arm gives out. Now ask the volunteer to hold the wand facing the palm of their hand with their other hand. Have them hold it there and wait for about 10 seconds, now do that test again, and you will see that the arm is a lot stronger.
Test for flexibility  last. Have the person hold out their arm in front of them, with knees and ankles together and ask them to to turn around as far as they can. Now with their arm still streched have them hold the wand with their thumb over the point of the wand, wait a few seconds and have that person stretch around again. They will be amazed at how much further they will be able to bend.
